Political Correctness

I've always wondered. Why is it always that "white people" seem to be the ones forced to be politically correct, or another prime example is Christmas and all the things that goes along with it, they keep changing things, for example have any of you heard how in Australia Santa now can no longer say "Ho, Ho, Ho" because it demeans women. He will now say "Ha! Ha! Ha!" and Santa can no longer be fat he must be skinny cause supposedly he makes children believe it's alright to be FAT! GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK! Another one is how you can't say Merry Christmas anymore it's no longer acceptable, you're supposed to say Happy Holidays. Since when was that an issue, I don't care if you celebrate Christmas or not, it's a wonderful time of year for anyone to celebrate and a damn good holiday, besides nearly everyone who isn't forced to work for various reasons gets off on Christmas so you get to enjoy my holiday while I can't even acknowledge it exists? PISS OFF! I don't mind saying Happy Hanukkah to people if I know they're Jewish, but I don't get off for your holiday, you get off for mine. I can't recall the last time I had Hanukkah break instead of Christmas break, just like we say Happy New Years, I'm saying Merry Christmas, and to anyone who disagrees.... BITE ME!

Research

I received some of my books today. I'm going to start doing research on modern warfare for a book that I want to write. Hopefully, I'll have all my research done by like January or February and then I can really get down to business. Well that's all for now.

Has America Reached Its Peak of Greatness?

I have been thinking on this for a long time, has America reached its peak of greatness? If it has, will it now begin the slow, obvious, and painful decent that leads it to disaster. Just like the great empires before us, Persian, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian, Greek, Roman, and even modern day ones such as France in the Napoleonic era, and the Third Reich and Nazi Germany, are we doomed to their fates of a long string of military defeats resulting in us being carved up as we once were as Colonial America in the middle 1600's and late 1700's, with few victories, a period of gross inflation, and eventually total governmental collapse, paving the way for the next great Nation or Superpower of the world, maybe China v2?

Was Vietnam the first failure? Is Iraq and the War on Terror lined up as the next two? I would certainly like to believe Vietnam was a failure in that we lost our nerve as a nation and felt that one American life let alone 58,000 was a very sad thing indeed. For the other two only time will tell. We are already seeing signs of economic decay and corruption that normally leads to a civilizations downfall, with inflation and the cost of living rates sky rocketing, while the average salary has remained relatively unchanged compared to the other two. The American dollar, once considered one of, if not the most valuable piece of money is now even with the Canadian dollar once 20-30% move valuable then its sister of the North. If the signs continue is the Peso next to surpass us? Will we emigrate to Mexico to escape poverty in the US someday? If the natural order of things holds true here, that what rises to the top must eventually plummet back down, how far will we fall? How long will it take us to reach the point of no-return where nothing can be done to save us? Is the United States of America, doomed to join the other great empires and nations of the past in the pages of History textbooks for children of the world, or will the American spirit hold true and the eagle will continue to soar high across the vast sea of nations and this is just a speed bump on the road to an even higher calling of greatness one where the United States has just begun its ascent?

A Late Night Revelation

Started at: 1:54 am
I have come to a conclusion at this moment in time that the history I so dearly love is because of the amount of history there is. I have discovered in a normal lifetime it is impossible for one single person to know the history of every single modern day country and important person, let alone all the great people of the world that have past, as well as their countries. So my thirst for historical facts and figures is never satisfied therefore I continually pursue this knowledge. For example say I read a book about the Battle of Normandy (D-Day), for argument's sake lets make it Stephen E. Ambrose's book, "D-Day June 6th 1944: The Climatic Battle of World War II." You could spend a week or two if you take your time reading this book, and still be left not knowing many details, such as what was the reason "he" did this, or "they" did that, as well as all the underlining stories of each moment as well. I have discovered the ultimate reason for my love of history is to have that single worded question answered, "why." Why did this occur, why did "he" place his guns here, why did "they" choose June 6th, for the Normandy Invasion, why, Why, WHY!!! It continues on and on. I can almost certainly guarantee you, if, and when I finish gaining every major and minor detail I consider important to knowing the "spirit" of D-Day's history, I WOULD STILL BE WANTING MORE! I will leave it at that until another thought strikes me. So until then, ciao, see ya later, have a good evening.

The Welcome Wagon and the First Thought

Hello, and welcome one and all,

Let the games begin! Welcome to my mind. Basically any random thought or idea that pops into my head you will all know about it.

And my first meaningful thought. Why is President Bush so stupid, I mean in all seriousness, shouldn't there be a minimum GPA requirement to be President of the most powerful nation on Earth. When you think about it the man controls possibly the most powerful nuclear arsenal as well as one of the largest armies, and has a very big influence on much of our laws. Shouldn't you at least need a B+ in this day in age and at least an Associates degree from a community college to run the country. I don't know, maybe it's just me. But a guy should also know how to pronounce most of his words. I don't mind the accent, cause I'm sure most foreigners think of Americans as wild cowboys who go around touting guns shooting Native Americans and what not, so that's alright. So yeah, what do you guys think.
